Korean food website

Above website displays a variety of authentic Korean food.

This site will give me a very good idea of what kind of food I should include on the menu of my website.

Good Example

System Plan

The following link will direct you to my system plan.

As I was going through the process of writing the plan I was able to gather my thoughts together and obtain a clearer picture of what my website should look like.

Hopefully things will go as planned.

Decision on Project Item

During a brief discussion with Tim he confirmed that he will open up a SQL server where each student will be able to create their own data tables for their project.

Therefore I changed my mind and decided to build up an interesting and dynamic website.

I have built a travel booking website before for Internet Programming subject so this time I decided to go for restaurant booking where customers can book seats, specifying the location of the seating(i.e near the window, near the stage where a band plays music in the evening and so on), and even what food they will be having.

Basically, at the moment I think my website should contain:

1. Home Page
2. Contact Us
3. Book Seats
4. Select Menu
5. Comments section (where customers can send comments about my restaurant)
6. Booking confirmation section (where confirmation e-mail is sent to the customer once booking is done)
7. Brief introduction about the restaurant

and optionally 8. Membership section where customers can sign up to be members of the restaurant so they can receive special discounts.

I shall research further into this.

A few project ideas.

I thought of a few ideas for the project yesterday and they are:

- Travel, hotel, restaurant...etc. Reservation Website
- Simple advertisement
- Photo Gallery
- Do-it-yourself homepage creator

However most of these ideas involve usage of database when I am trying to cut it out.

I guess I am still juggling between static and dynamic website.

Now... I have created a static website before for my previous job and it is available at:

http://www.lilly.com.au/health/on_canvas.cfm

As for dynamic websites I am currently working for a company that develops search engines for travel booking sites such as:

http://www.lastminute.com.au

http://www.travel.com
